Humble Beginning
Monarch Carpentry Design Studio is a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary interior and carpentry design firm known for its innovative approach, meticulous craftsmanship, and commitment to creating cost-effective yet elegant solutions. Based in Singapore, Monarch blends contemporary design sensibilities with the rich traditions of bespoke carpentry to craft spaces that are not only visually compelling but also tailored to modern-day living.
Specialising in the design and build of residential, commercial, and hospitality interiors, we focus on delivering purposeful and refined spaces through a collaborative process. Our in-house team of designers and carpenters work closely with clients—sharing ideas, technical expertise, and creative vision—to push design boundaries and bring every concept to life with precision and flair.
The story of Monarch Carpentry Design Studio began in 2009 with Uncle Lim, a renowned master carpenter affectionately known in the trade for his skill and dedication. Recognising the growing demand for cohesive project delivery, Uncle Lim saw the need to bridge craftsmanship with design. In 2019, this vision came to life with the formation of Monarch Carpentry Design Studio—combining in-house contractors with a design team to offer prestige interior design built on cost-effective solutions.
Driven by a passion for honest workmanship and refined aesthetics, Monarch has grown into a trusted name in Singapore’s interior scene. Today, we continue to provide integrated design and build services for residential and commercial spaces—crafting interiors that are beautiful, practical, and built to last.
